Meet The Refinery Skin Clinic team
Rebecca Suess RN, CPSN, CANS
Rebecca started her career as a Cosmetologist in 1997. After a few years of working at a salon, she began looking for a new career trajectory. She took a job at Crutchfield Dermatology in Eagan, MN and her passion was ignited to blend aesthetic and nursing!
She decided to pursue a nursing degree with the sole intention to practice aesthetics on a medical level and after graduating from the University of St. Catherine she became a Registered Nurse in 2010.
Rebecca immediately got back into the cosmetic industry working for Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery. Here, she began training in a variety of facial aesthetic procedures involving Botox injections, filler injections, laser resurfacing, and chemical peels.
She moved her career to the next level in January 2013 when she began managing and growing the Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Department at HealthPartners. Managing the practice limited her time for one-to-one patient interaction and she realized her passion was in the treatment room with clients instead of in an office in meetings.
In September 2014 Rebecca joined the team at Contour Clinic in Burnsville. She loved the collaboration with other strong and talented providers along with the autonomy she was given to provide the BEST patient care which yielded her the best aesthetic results! Rebecca realized this was the best environment for her to thrive in.
August of 2017, in partnership with Tracey Rudolph Lakin, Rebecca took the biggest step of her career by opening The Refinery Skin Clinic. Becoming a business co-owner has been her life’s passion realized. “I just knew this was where I would end up. After watching the rapid evolution of the Aesthetic Industry I just knew I had to be a bigger part of it!” Rebecca says to sum up her feelings of becoming a business owner.
In addition to being a full-time Injection Specialist at The Refinery Skin Clinic, Rebecca is also:
- A member of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (2011)
- Certified Plastic Surgical Nurse (2013)
- Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (2015)
- Founder/Trainer Rebecca Suess Aesthetics (2016)
- Allergan Medical Institute Faculty Member (2017)
Education, excellence, and safety is her motto. She takes the time to make sure everyone who sits in her chair or attends one of her trainings leaves feeling empowered with knowledge and a better understanding of the aesthetic industry.
Tracey Rudolph Lakin, LE, CLT
Tracey began her career in aesthetics in 1996 after graduating from Katherine Hinds Institute in Massachusetts. After 5 years of working in day spas she began her transition into the medical aesthetic field. In 2001, at the emergence of injectable cosmetics, Tracey was mentored by Dr. Sadia Baxt who trained her on medical skin care procedures. On relocation from the New York area to the Twin Cities she had the privilege to continue her work in Dr. Charles Crutchfield’s medical and cosmetic clinics.
For the past 6 years, Tracey has been the lead esthetician and educational trainer for all 5 Contour Clinic locations and has been integral to the clinic’s development and growth.
In 2014, she was selected by Bellus Medical (SkinpenTM) to join Dr. Hitchcock in providing national training for both implementation and advanced techniques in micro needling. In 2016, she trained with urogynecologist Dr. Red Alinsod, the founder of ThermiVa (vaginal rejuvenation) treatment. The company leveraged Tracey to demonstrate technique and train peer professionals in ThermiVaTM treatment.
Today, Tracey continues to do peer-to-peer training regionally and, with the opening of The Refinery Skin Clinic, is excited to continue her work within her own practice. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Tracey brings her passion and knowledge to The Refinery Skin Clinic to deliver the best possible skin care programs to her clients.
