What I’m Known For & My Areas of Expertise

I’m definitely the person who asks a lot of questions, and I consider that a good thing!

I’m naturally curious and love learning the “why” behind the treatments we perform at Refinery Skin Clinic. I want to understand how they work, who they can help, and what goes into creating a great client experience from beginning to end.

My healthcare background has also taught me how important the human side of care is. I want clients to feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and simply being themselves when they’re here. Sometimes a reassuring conversation or taking an extra moment to explain what’s happening can completely change someone’s experience.

As I continue nursing school and grow within medical aesthetics, I’m excited to keep learning from Refinery’s providers and becoming an even stronger resource for our clients.

A Little Bit About Me

I was born and raised in Minnesota and knew after high school that healthcare was where I wanted to be.

I became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2024 and began working at Children’s Hospital Minnesota, where I gained experience caring for patients across multiple hospital units. That experience confirmed that nursing was the path for me. I’m now attending the University of Minnesota School of Nursing and working toward becoming a registered nurse.

Medical aesthetics caught my attention because it offers something a little different. You have the science and clinical side of healthcare, but you also have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with clients and help them feel more confident in their skin. That really resonates with me because I’ve had my own struggles with acne and acne scarring. I understand how something happening on the surface of your skin can affect how you feel underneath it.

At Refinery, I get to combine my interest in healthcare with my growing passion for skin health while learning from an incredibly knowledgeable team. For someone who loves to learn, it’s a pretty exciting place to be!

How I Approach Supporting Your Skin’s Health & Appearance

I believe great care always starts with listening. Every client comes to Refinery Skin Clinic with a different story, different concerns, and different goals. My role is to help make sure you feel comfortable, heard, and supported while you’re here finding solutions for them.

Because I’m currently in nursing school, I’m especially passionate about education. I want to understand the science behind what we’re doing, and I want clients to feel like they understand their care too. You should feel comfortable asking questions and know that there’s a team here that genuinely wants to help you.

I’m still building my career in aesthetics, and I think that makes this chapter especially exciting. I’m surrounded by experienced professionals I can learn from every day, and I get to bring that knowledge back into the way I support our clients.

My Favorite Treatments at Refinery Skin Clinic

SkinPen® Microneedling

This one is personal for me. I’ve struggled with acne and have acne scarring on my cheeks and chin, so I understand firsthand how frustrating changes in skin texture can be.

I love that SkinPen works with your skin’s natural remodeling process to stimulate collagen and improve the appearance of acne scars and uneven texture. It’s exactly the kind of treatment that made me interested in medical aesthetics in the first place.

Dermaplaning

My love of makeup definitely comes from my mom, who is a makeup artist, so I appreciate anything that creates an unbelievably smooth canvas.

I love how fresh and soft my skin feels after dermaplaning, and makeup application afterward is so good. It’s simple, satisfying, and delivers that immediate smoothness I love.

DiamondGlow®

Instant gratification? Yes, please!

I love how fresh, smooth, hydrated, and glowy my skin looks immediately after a DiamondGlow. It’s one of those treatments where you leave the clinic wanting to keep touching your face… although we’ll probably tell you not to.

Products I Love Recommending

SkinMedica® Pore Clarifying Cleanser

As someone with acne-prone skin, I appreciate products that actually earn their place in my routine. This is one of mine.

I love how fresh and clean my skin feels after using it, and it’s become one of my staples for helping manage breakouts and clogged pores.

SkinMedica® HA5® Hydra Collagen Water Burst Moisturizer

Lightweight hydration is my favorite kind of hydration.

I love how refreshing this feels and how soft, smooth, and hydrated my skin feels afterward without feeling heavy or greasy.

Revision Skincare® YouthFull Lip Replenisher®

I am absolutely a lip product girl. There are usually several within arm’s reach at any given moment.

YouthFull Lip Replenisher has earned permanent status in the rotation, especially at night. I love putting it on before bed and waking up with lips that still feel soft, smooth, and hydrated.

My Life Outside of Refinery Skin Clinic

Between nursing school and Refinery, life stays pretty busy, but I always make time for my favorite people, animals, and adventures.

I currently live with five of my close friends, two cats, and a dog, so there is rarely a dull moment at home. I’m also a lifelong animal lover, especially when it comes to horses. I’ve volunteered at a horse sanctuary since I was ten years old, and it continues to be something really special to me.

I also love getting outside and making the most of Minnesota’s seasons. Summers are for the lake, patios, friends, and family. Winters are for snowboarding.

Fun fact:  After graduating from high school, I moved to Jackson, Wyoming, for a ski season and learned how to snowboard. Apparently nursing school and medical aesthetics aren’t my only examples of jumping into something new and figuring it out as I go!
